Advanced Dog Academy Programs to Build Skills & Confidence

At Advance Behavioural Training, we support dogs of all ages, from puppies learning the basics to adolescent and adult dogs needing help with manners, confidence, and training skills.

Our Academy is a five-week program that combines professional dog training with a structured, engaging day for your dog. Simply drop them off in the morning and enjoy your day while they take part in training, enrichment, self-control exercises, and play.

Each dog receives personalised support based on your goals. Our behavioural trainers work one-on-one with your dog to build skills, practise good manners, increase confidence, or follow a customised training plan developed with you.

In the afternoon, your dog joins their regular daycare group to socialise and play with their friends, creating a balanced day of learning and fun.

Give your dog the benefits of structured training, enrichment, and socialisation. Contact Advance Behavioural Training today to learn more about our Academy program.

FAQ’s

Daycare & Training combines the fun and social benefits of regular daycare with focused behaviour support from our experienced trainers. While our standard daycare is great for dogs to play, socialise, and burn energy, the training component adds structure to help dogs develop better manners, impulse control, and confidence. For Adelaide dog owners, this means your dog comes home happy, calm, and easier to manage, not just tired.

This program is designed to support dogs in real-life skills like settling, responding to you, and interacting politely with other dogs. Many owners notice that their dogs become more confident in public, easier to walk, better listeners, and calmer at home. Regular daycare being included still provides socialisation and energy release, but the added training helps dogs build consistent habits that translate into everyday life.

Yes. For dogs who are naturally shy, a bit nervous, or unsure in new situations, Daycare & Training provides a safe, structured environment to build confidence. Our trainers guide interactions, offer reassurance, and help your dog learn how to feel more comfortable and relaxed in social settings.

If your dog needs a bit more guidance and support, you may prefer our Behavioural Rehabilitation Program, but many owners in Daycare & Training Academy notice their dog becomes more confident and comfortable in everyday daycare and home routines.

Absolutely! Some dogs simply need the right structured training and carefully managed group to feel comfortable. Our Daycare & Training program can support dogs who might have been overwhelmed in other daycares, helping them learn to enjoy social interactions safely and positively.

While we don’t tackle serious behaviour in this service (see our Behavioural Rehabilitation Program for that), we do help dogs build confidence, develop good social habits, and have fun in a controlled setting with one-on-one guidance from a trainer.

Yes. Each dog receives focused guidance from qualified trainers, tailored to their needs and the behaviours they are developing. During the daycare playtime, dogs also benefit from supervision and structured play, but the Daycare & Training sessions ensure your dog is learning practical skills while having fun, which makes it easier for you to manage their behaviour at home.

We always put your dog’s wellbeing first. Your dog will be given time to settle and adjust to the environment before they begin their training.

Dogs who need a break during playtime are guided to a calm, quiet space to rest and reset. We ensure your dog isn’t just physically tired but emotionally balanced. Our owners notice their dogs come home calmer, more relaxed, and better able to cope with everyday life.

We provide consistent updates and clear communication about your dog’s day. You will receive a detailed handover and written report after each Daycare & Training day. Trainers share insights into:

  • what your dog did well,
  • what challenges they are working through, and
  • what you can reinforce at home.

This makes it easier for you to see real progress and feel confident applying the skills your dog is developing.

Yes! Puppies benefit from structured socialisation and positive guidance just as much as older dogs. Our experienced trainers support young dogs in learning how to engage with others and settle in group settings, helping you raise a well‑adjusted companion who is easier to manage in everyday life.

Our puppy clients of Daycare & Training Academy find their dog is better set up for training later in life, have better social skills earlier, and owners are more confident handling their dogs in both play and training.

Arrival is calm and organised, and our team greets every dog with warmth and professionalism. You will have a chance to let staff know if you would like us to make adjustments to your goals or training plan before your dog goes back to settle and get ready for the day.

Your dog is then integrated into a supportive environment where play, learning, and rest are balanced throughout the day. Many owners report that this structured, positive experience helps their dog feel more secure, social, and confident over time, not just “tired.”

Instead of coming home wired, reactive, or stressed, many dogs return more relaxed, attentive, and responsive to cues. Over time, your dog’s improved behaviour can mean:

  • smoother mornings and evenings,
  • easier walks and outings, and
  • less frustration around common triggers at home.

Ultimately, you get to enjoy the dog you always wanted; well‑mannered, confident, and a joy to be around.
