Tailored, expert training in real world environments

Our Adventure Academy program fits training seamlessly into your routine, while giving your dog the kind of real-world practice to start seeing powerful results.

Imagine dropping your dog off in the morning knowing their day will be filled with meaningful training, and see real improvement when you pick them up. We provide structured training woven into everyday environments, guided by a professional who utilises real life learning opportunities to help your dog be the best they can be. Instead of trying to juggle training while you’re tired and frustrated from your own busy life, you can focus on your day with the peace of mind that your dog is out building practical skills where they actually matter.

During this program, your dogs will learn important skills that matter to you. Your dog will start to focus on you around distractions, they’ll learn not to jump on every person they see or chase birds, or simply learn how to switch off and relax so you can enjoy calming mental health walks with them. Every day of this program is an opportunity to reinforce, expand, and refine what your dog can do so you can go out without worry.

This program is about making training part of your dog’s everyday life so that when they come home, the progress is noticable, practical, and genuinely makes you feel better in your day-to-day life.

FAQ’s

Adventure Academy is designed to help dogs develop practical skills that support calmer, more reliable behaviour in real-world situations. Through structured training, guided exposure, and enrichment activities, dogs can build confidence, improve focus, strengthen obedience skills, and learn how to respond more appropriately to everyday distractions and environments.

Because it works. Many dog owners choose Adventure Academy because it provides consistent training opportunities in a variety of environments while fitting into busy schedules. The program combines professional guidance, structured learning, enrichment, and real-world experiences to help dogs continue progressing between private sessions and everyday life at home.

Adventure Academy includes structured training sessions, guided social exposure, enrichment activities, confidence-building exercises, and practical real-world experiences. Dogs are introduced to different environments, sounds, surfaces, distractions, and scenarios to help strengthen important life skills and improve overall behaviour.

Absolutely! Adventure Academy can support both puppies and adult dogs, with training tailored to each dog’s individual needs, temperament, and stage of development. Puppies can benefit from early socialisation and confidence-building experiences, while adult dogs may work on improving manners, focus, calm behaviour, and everyday obedience skills.

We understand that many puppy owners are concerned about their health and we are, too. Many owners choose to not take their pup to public places until 2 weeks after their last round of initial vaccinations. This is a critical time for your puppy in terms of both health and socialisation, so you have to make the best decision for your family and situation.

If your puppy is not yet fully vaccinated, please consult your vet before deciding if this program is a good fit for you and your dog.

Training in a variety of real-world environments helps dogs learn how to apply their skills outside the home and around everyday distractions. This type of practical exposure can help improve confidence, adaptability, engagement, and reliability in different situations, making training more meaningful for both dogs and their owners.

We provide consistent updates and clear communication about your dog’s day. You will receive a detailed handover and written report after each Adventure Academy day. Trainers share insights into:

  • what your dog did well,
  • what challenges they are working through, and
  • what you can reinforce at home.

This makes it easier for you to see real progress and feel confident applying the skills your dog is developing.

Ideally. Dogs are generally encouraged to attend an initial service or assessment so trainers can better understand their behaviour, personality, and training goals. This helps ensure all dogs in the program will be safe during transport and training, allowing everyone to get the most benefit out of the course that you can.

If you have not already attended training with us, we ask that you book in for a casual Daycare & Training Academy service to conduct this assessment.

If you have accessed our services before, please ask one of our friendly trainers whether an assessment is needed.

Adventure Academy gives busy dog owners access to consistent, structured training and enrichment during the week while supporting their dog’s behavioural development and everyday life skills. The program is designed to help maintain training momentum, provide professional guidance, and create positive learning experiences that support long-term results at home and in public settings.
